I would not be writing this review if the employee who I had an interaction with had cared, as we have received great service in the past. I can understand if something is closed, but when information is not listed on the website and verbal details are not given, showing one cares can go a long way....such attribute does not seem to be part of the character of the tall man with sandy colored hair I interacted with during my last visit. When I mentioned I wished to make a purchase and pick it up, I was matter of fact told it wasn't possible. When I said that was not information I was given when calling (that I had to be there by a certain time to actually pick up still that night), I was met with an I'm better than you and don't care look with a subtle "whatever" shoulder shrug. The only thing I got other than this condescending look/gesture: "You can purchase and pick up tomorrow." - but even that was given with no emotion. When I noted that it won't work and I would be going somewhere else with my business, I was met with the same nonverbal response (noted earlier). Again this review boils down to how your employee is making people feel.....which isn't great. I was informed that the warehouse was closed, but clearly they were not and it is not posted, that I could find, that the warehouse closes 30 minhtes prior to store closing. Maybe in the future a response of: "I'm sorry you were not given the correct information, prehaps if it works with your schedule to purchase (insert item) tonight, you could pick-up as early as (inerest time) tomorrow." Kindness really does go a long way and if I would have been extended some in this interaction, this review would not have been written.

This place is atrocious. Horrible customer service. We purchased a couch a month ago and was told there were 7 in the warehouse at the time of purchase. AFW sold my couch out from underneath me. They keep telling me it'll be next week, next week, next week.. so on and so forth. Today, when I called this location, the lady that answered the phone immediately told me (as a side of mouth comment) that my sales person should handle this, in a very rude manner. Then, when I reiterated that I have heard "it'll be next week" 3 or 4 times now, I was interrupted and then lectured by a staff member on what she should be able to hear. The previous call I made they pawned the responsibility off on a different store. I have spent a lot of money with AFW... not any more. I'll go to Ashley or Furniture Row. I'll pay for good customer service. I don't entertain disgruntled employees who think that im not worth speaking to with a modicum of respect after spending my hard earned money. Again... horrible customer service.

Good stuff at a fair price. But the customer service is what stood out to me. They have as many people working on the floor that one could hope for, but the best experience I had was with returns. I bought a bed which was too big for the room. I returned it without any hassle.

I am beyond grateful for the three men we got for our delivery. Brian, Colton and Davian were just the best! Super quick, efficient, sweet and attentive. Got the couch in without a scratch, and I'm so happy with the services. The couch we selected is very beautiful and great for the cost! My experience with this company has been nothing but extraordinary and I will definitely be purchasing again in the future!

In my opinion your store sucks really bad you guys are liars just is get a sale how sad is that I picked up a mattress and I told the salesperson before I was going to buy it that I have a Subaru Forester and he said no problem we can fix you up I get it picked up I go in when the base and they tell me that your policy won't put the mattress on there and tells me I have to tie it down and I have to be responsible not your company and if you want customers to keep coming to you you need to treat him a little bit better and tell them the truth instead of thinking about the sale and getting the bonus you have lost a customer for good I will never set foot in your Warehouse ever again I will never buy a piece of furniture a rug a picture or anything and if anybody asked me how nice your damn store is I'm going to say don't buy nothing it's not worth it

I purchased a sectional over Memorial Day weekend, the salesman I think his name was Tom was so helpful, and today my sectional was delivered, the three young men who brought it were so professional, kind and worked so hard. I will be getting a kitchen table soon and I will be returning to American Furniture Warehouse great job guys!

We bought a recliner and sofa recently, and within a day the recliner began tearing itself apart...the metal parts in the footrest aren't finished well so it snags the material each time it's opened and closed. No biggie, we'll just call and trust that warranty and guarantee, right? Here we are several phone calls, website visits, at least two separate case files and several days later, still no word at all from AFW. We've shopped at the various locations since 2002 and have seen the quality go down and the prices only go up exponetially. I'm sure they're going to make us pay to return everything (if we ever hear from them), which is a good conclusion for the last time we ever go to AFW.

The 1 star is for a delay in delivery due to drivers..(5stars for the 2nd delivery) The 1st time the delivery drivers were inside maybe 5 minutes. They said item wouldn’t fit around the railing (the tall side was down, and the flat side towards the railing). We suggested to flip the item but one driver didn’t want to try so the other went with it. They were cool but didn’t want suggestions. He took a picture of it not fitting to get paid and they left (I’m also a driver so I know how it works). I requested another delivery team which came 4 days later and I suggested how to get the item upstairs and around the railing, absolutely no issues took them literally 1 min 44 secs (I have cameras). I know people don’t want to be told how to do their job but maybe consider the suggestion and logic if it makes sense. 2nd team was amazing, thanks guys 5 stars for them.

Recently purchased an amazing couch! However, the delivery guys seem to be in a huge hurry, so they didn't put our couch together properly. We had to call AFW to let them know the problem, they didn't waste any time to get a tech guy out to fix the issue! He was super nice and wasn't in a big hurry to fix it! The guy who showed us the chairs, same guy that checked us out at the showroom, My wife and I were kind of undecide. The man seemed like didn't want to be there, as if he had a pressing situation elsewhere, as if preoccupied with something else he'd rather be doing. Speed walking us from recliner to recliner, don't sit down because he was already on to the next one. He'd say, here's this one, then move on, then there's this one and just that fast off we go. While happy with the chair, delivery was great, my wife very happy with delivery. We didn't care for the showroom guy's impatience. AFW wasn't even very busy at the time. He was kind of an ass.

recently purchased a full size bed for my 90 year old mom and the mattress is has dip in it. The dip is at the head of the bed and a technician came out and took pictures and I was informed that someone would get back to me. Not only did they not contact, I had to follow 3 days later just for them to tell me the dip had to be 1 and a half in deep in order for them to replace the mattress. WHERE'S THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THAT!! I've used American Family Furniture for most of my home needs in the past, and haven't had a problem with them up until now. I AM NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER.

Bad experience here. Delivery was an hour late, the two men who came to assemble the desk I had, left it in the box and did not assemble it. I had to schedule again for them to come out and do the assembly, and they were late again!.... Not the best quality product as well, some issues with assembly. 1 star. Avoid this place.

I didn't buy anything from them but had a really sour experience with their delivery driver. I live in an apt complex with narrow driveway. I was leaving to go to doctor's appointment and as I was walking to my car the American furniture warehouse truck was pulling in. Now they had not started unloading at this time. When he came in he stopped and blocked my car along with several other cars. I got out and asked if he could pull forward just a couple of inches so I can get out. I was met with the biggest attitude. He told me no he wasn't going to move and he was doing his job and I could wait until he was done with his delivery. If drivers are this rude for someone asking to move a few inches imagine what salesman are like? I waited for over 20 minutes and had to reschedule my doctor's appointment because I missed appointment. I will not be doing business with them

I purchased a love seat last Saturday. I told the salesman I needed it by this weekend or I wouldn’t buy it. He informed me it would be there on Monday or Tuesday and scheduled for delivery. I called today and was informed it was a two to three week wait. Now I don’t have a couch and was totally lied to for a sale. Not very happy with the whole deal.

Sales were helpful and kind. Prices are good. Warehouse people just want to throw the furniture (which I just bought) roughly in with zero regard for damage to the your vehicle or new furniture. I would recommend recording the warehouse people load if picking up there. The individual ran the box on a dolly into my tailgate, knocked the tailgate up over the box and scratched the top of my paint, then proceeded to lift the heavy box up over till the tailgate dropped scraping along it and flopped the box which said fragile and had an arrow, but threw it over upside down very roughly into the truck and then walked away without saying anything.

During a pretty big upstairs home remodel, I bought a leather sectional from AFW a year after the tragic death of my 40 year old wife. My soul needed it, because this house was just suffocating. I’ve never bought new living room furniture, just always got a hand me down from family or bought something off Facebook Marketplace … so for me, it was an investment. 2 years into having the couch, the “leather” started to crack on one of the sections. Then within months, it started to peel off. I called AFW and asked what could be done. They said it was only a one year warranty and they couldn’t source a replacement for me to buy. At the very least, they could’ve offered to get me covers … but I guess not. Now every time I walk into the house, it feels like the couch is a stark reminder how my bride is no longer with me and it’s all still so raw. Unbelievable. I bought a chair for my office that had problems, too. You’d think that a guy who lost his wife in very tragic circumstances (she died alone at UC Hospital in Aurora after 21-days of forced isolation in May 2020 (not COVID)) and is fighting to ensure that every hospitalized or long term care patient has rights to at least one screened loved one per day with no time limits through state and federal legislation (we have legislation in 13 states with Colorado being the only “blue” state (neveraloneproject.org)) would get a little extra compassion, but I guess not. Never go to AFW. Find another source.

We were having a 5 star rating with the sales experience. This dropped to a 4 star review when the crew from Denver who made the initial delivery didn't upload their photos causing us to do their job for them when it came to dealing with Customer Service. All of this because their were missing components that were NOT delivered. Of course the delivery crew took the white tags that Customer Service is requiring of us, along with photos just to utilize OUR WARRANTY. After spending $15K on furniture I would NOT expect to be given the run around, especially when it was the delivery crew that didn't do their job right in the first place. How hard is it to schedule a service tech to come out to provide service for a warranty that you promise?

Kittie helped us on the floor and she was awesome— Only reason for two star review. Our children’s bunk bed was delivered while we were at work, and accepted by my father. After the delivery guys put it together and left, my father noticed the top bunk flat bed was put together upside down leaving a metal rod along the middle of the bed. We decided to just take the top part off, flip it, and screw it back together, but the freaking screws were stripped. The kids other beds are already gone. Decided to go up to the store and see what can be done. Guy at customer service just hands us a card with a number to call. No apology, no “Oh, man, that sucks”. Nothing. Just a number to call to have someone fix it in two days at the soonest. I like the furniture and I like the prices, and I like Kittie. But those damn delivery drivers/techs need to just do their damn job correctly.

Furniture is an okay value, product seems often low quality construction but OK for the price, just be cautious. SUPER DISAPPOINTED in the amount of Styrofoam used as packing material. Does the company not care that this all goes into landfills and (from what I understand) takes HUNDREDS OF YEARS to breakdown. Considering the volume they sell, this is horrible for our environment, something that typically is not recycled.

We've purchased a few pieces of furniture from American Furniture Warehouse and have experienced their sales and delivery multiple times. The good: 1 - AFW has a big selection of furniture and most of it is competitively priced. Most furniture only comes in the color shown on the showroom floor, but if you ask sometimes they have additional colors. 2 - The salespeople are pretty chill. You don't get high pressure sales. Not sure how they compensate their sales people but no one seems to worry about commission. 3 - Delivery is pretty easy to set up and their delivery people are usually pretty good. The not so good: 1 - Furniture quality, especially in the most modestly priced pieces, is a little dubious. If you buy a budget piece of furniture here you'll likely end up replacing it in a year. They offer better quality furniture too, but you'll pay more for it. 2 - After sales service can be hit and miss. If you need to change your delivery date, the automated system for AFW is terrible - I called more than a dozen times and just got stuck in a loop each time. I finally had to go to the store to get help. The in-store staff are great - but that meant an extra trip and more time. 3 - Delivery is pricey. The cost to deliver a single couch was $113 plus $11 to have it delivered on a Saturday. When you buy furniture, ask what the delivery cost is upfront so you can figure it into your price. 4 - The cult of personality around the owner of this chain is just weird. They have cutouts of the owner around the store and encourage you to take photos and post it to your socials. There are endless signs extolling his business skills and greatness. Did this dude go to North Korea and come back with some ideas from the Kim's? Overall, AFW is a good furniture store in today's competitive furniture world. It offers a wide selection, no pressure sales, with some challenges when it comes to post sales service.

Cheap quality, terrible customer service. We bought 2 Ashley dressers a few months ago,they were pretty cheap, bad quality. The main issue was the AFW customer service-ZERO customer service-when we bought them-they were promising that if something is wrong-will be taken care of. A few months later-The drawers open and close completely different for each other,looks pretty bad.The technician saw all the defects and after 15 minutes got a call from representative called Hector that everything is normal with my furniture and they will not do anything.When they have to take your money-they promise everything,but when the problem exist-Sorry for the problem,but we dont cover any warranty on your items.... STAY AWAY from this company-terrible customer service, ZERO promised warranty !!!!!! Thats not the way to get our money and not honor the warranty that is 1 year........

I am very disappointed in American furniture Warehouse they had a policy up to a year that they would retu replace the couch if anything was wrong with it for a new one well there's a manufacturer defect in the back of the couch the wood is broken and there's a big piece of metal coming through couch otherwise is brand new because I take care of everything they will not replace it they are taking it to their warehouse which I'm really really pissed to repair it I won't have a couch for 7 to 10 days or longer girl was not very nice I think it's very very crappy that they're doing this they do not honor what they say

Had a great experience shopping here. I was able to walk around the entire store without being pressured into anything which is great and gave me time to think about what I wanted to do. This location has some of the best prices in Colorado Springs. When I was ready and had some questions I approached Anthony Ireland and he quickly and efficiently looked up everything I had picked out, while also showing me a few other things that fit into my price range and size. He gave me plenty of time to decide and answered all my questions. He was very friendly and professional, listened to me and had a great sense of humor. Massive selection at this location and the store has a lot of clearance items as well. Everything was organized in a fashion that made it easy to find similar items by what you are looking for.

This is the 3rd time we have bought furniture from American Furniture and they have exceeded expectations every time. Carri our salesperson has been wonderful and has always pointed us in the right direction to make the best choice for our furniture needs. We are planning a family move to Japan (military) and my dad recommended AFW. Our wonderful representative (I don’t remember her name, she was new so she had her supervisor ring up our ticket) Mari (I’m so sorry if that’s not right), helped us find what we need and not rushed us at all. Never pressured, and since she came from a military life, was able to guide on weight, etc. because of her kindness and guidance, we got this amazing sofa, our king bedroom set, our daughter’s bedroom set, dressers for each room and a beautiful rug. What should have been stressful was calm and most of all, FUN!!! Please recognize her for her amazing efforts (and I am so sorry if her name is not correct). Her supervisor who assisted at the end was amazing too. :-)

Waited almost 2 months to get my furniture and they arrived stained now we have to wait more to get this fix very disappointed. You can’t find me because the order has my husband’s name. We did call but the point is it took forever and now we have to wait more.

I'm handicapped so when I came into the store I was approached by one of the sales girl and I'm gonna tell you it's one of best experiences I've ever had. She was so professional and experienced it felt like I hit the jack pot at Cripple Creek. She worked w me on picking out the right furniture and matching w a new 9×10 carpet. Thank you Carrie one of the best experiences I've ever had. Your the best.

Muy insastifecha, desepcionada pensé que mi compra seria algo muy agradable pero no fue así. Para empezar hice una compra de un juego de dos sofa a lo cual ellos me mandaron uno de un color y otro de otro color muy parecido pero notablemente no son iguales, un cojin tiene una pequeña rasgadura y por la repocision de ese cojin querian cobrarme 55 dólares. Por otro lado el sofa mas grande venia con grapas expuestas que si le pasas la mano te podias lastimar, pedazos de tela rotos y salidas, una parte del sofa esta torcido. No comprendo como ellos dicen al momento que haces la compra que los articulos tienen un año de garantia y ya con la compra hecha no quieren resolver los daños, jamás volvere a comprar en esta tienda.

Purchased a sofa arrived with 2 pieces damaged and they were replaced in a week. 1 month after purchase the wood on one of back pieces cracked when I sat on it and the back leaned back, the store is saying it was misuse and they voided my warranty and refuse return/exchange and everything I rece8ved my sofa dec 8 2024, today jan 12, 2025, it breaks and they decide to void warranty this store sells junk and scams you out of the warranty and blames you for cheap wood. This is ridiculous a $1388 sofa purchased new in a store and it breaks in a month and they cancel my warranty? Insane, this company should be sued, i need my sofa repaired or accepted as a return this is unacceptable. I was a multi time purchaser as well. This is criminal.

Your $500 bed frame will break within the first few months. Youll contact about a warrnty and then theyll say not this department. Then warranty will say send pictures, then say send better pictures. Youll feel like a fool. Your $500 will feel like a waste. You think maybe i go somewhere better next time? But wait, i spent $500 on this bed frame, i thought that might indicate the quality of the product was higher? No. It just means the commission is better! Thanks! :) something about being wined and dinned first before that sort of action.

This is our first time purchasing from AFW and honestly we love it! WE LOVE IT! Mrs. Cari Claycomb was an amazing furnishing consultant! She had helped picked out an amazing rug that fits our house and literally took care of us. Making sure we got the best deals and making sure we got the best of the best. I Cannot recommend her enough! Photos for reference. We got the reclining couch, rug and bed frame from AFW. We will be going back since we still need to furnish the rest of our home!

Okay so say what you want about small local businesses or big box store stuff, no part in that argument. Only talking about the store itself. I went down there to pick up something that I thought was stocked because I was an idiot and didn't look thoroughly enough online, I didn't read. The manager Bobby made some exceptions for me and helped me get what I needed. Good Place and will go back. Better brand furniture for the same price as Amazon trash

We purchased a leather couch and loveseat and the color is rubbing off, this furniture was purchased in June of 2024. We contacted the customer service department, sent them pictures over and over only for them to respond with it’s not a warranty item. Contracted management who referred me back to customer service who at this point were rude and advised it wasn’t a warranty item. They would not stand by there product. We will be buying from again.
